MusicMonday: A Playlist for Performers
I returned from Ljubljana in love. Yes, with a new city, but also with an art form. Street theatre.
More about my adventures in street theatre another day, but if you want a brief introduction to the festival I attended, called Ana Desetnica, here's a video worth watching.
When I got home from Ljubljana I put together this playlist of songs which are inspired by performing in one way or another. Also there's a song by Gregory Porter who I was lucky enough to watch sing live as part of Ljubljana Jazz Festival. Oh, and that Kissing You song by Des'Ree in Romeo + Juliet, because I think it's one of the most theatrical songs I know.
Enjoy this playlist while you work and go about your day today.
And now here are some little squares of my other new love... Ljubljana.
A few words stand out when I look at these pics again - bikes, doors, beautiful buildings, vintage treasure, big blue skies and street art that made me smile - and I'll share my first impressions with you tomorrow.
Have a great week! (Oh and did you remember to get your free copy of Night Bus last week? It's still available. Enjoy!)
