Is Luxury Family Travel Even a Thing?

Before I became a parent, I loved to travel the world somewhat luxuriously. My partner and I sought out the best 5-star (or more!) luxury resorts, hotels, apartments and experiences on our world travels and I shared many of these finds with you here on the blog. In 2015 when we became parents, we honestly thought that that was it for our luxury travel fun. Surely, once you have children, there is no such thing as luxury family travel?

How wrong we were! After spending the first year of parenthood trying to do a combination of luxury holidays like we used to (i.e. to not at all kid-friendly destinations) and more budget-friendly and basic family-friendly trips (which just weren't to our liking, if we're really honest) we felt despondent but not completely deterred. I began to scour the internet for places that would tick both the luxury and family-friendly boxes and to my delight I started to find some wonderful places, resorts, hotels and experiences.

Because I want more families to know that these options exist, I started to share our luxury family travel here on this blog. You can now find a range of hotel reviews for luxury family-friendly places, tips and advice for planning luxury family travel, and my recommendations for the best luxury family travel gear and equipment.

Luxury family travel is not only a booming business that is getting better every single year, but it is also a wide range of things from city breaks to resort holidays to winter sports fun. And it also doesn't need to be ridiculously expensive. Yes, any family travel costs a small fortune for most families, but there are things you can do and places you can do to be savvy with your money and enjoy great value and fantastic luxury.
