Twelve little photos from Zillertal, Austria
There was snow, there was apfelstrüdel, there was the occasional day of bright blue skies.
Everytime I return to the Austrian Alps (an almost yearly event now) I always find myself wondering what the mountains are like in the summer when there's more green than white and more T-shirts that swish-swishing ski trousers. But everytime it gets close to snowboarding season and I think about previous skiing holidays in Mayrhofen (where NewMan and I met) and I suddenly don't want to wait.
This time we went with our good Dutch friends, stayed in Zell am Ziller in a self-catering apartment (highly recommended!) and we flew in and out of Innsbruck, hiring a car to connect the dots. We also may have enjoyed the Arena Coaster a few too many times. It was a great snow holiday.
Which is you favourite country for skiing or snowboarding?
