MusicMonday: Must Love Festivals Playlist!

And we have lift off...

For the last six months or so I've been working on getting a not-so-secret project off the ground and it launches (officially, like with a website and what-not) today!

It's the reason I went to Austria (twice) back in March and it's the reason I learned new things about the importance of art and about laughter at Nextcomic Festival and Altitude Comedy Festival respectively.

And it has a name: Must Love Festivals.Must Love Festivals will see a very varied team of bloggers travel to eleven different European countries to attend over 40 festivals of all shapes and sizes. And we mean that. This is not just about typical music festivals; it's about art, culture, food and heritage as much as it is music. We want to discover the weird and the wonderful, the historic and the contemporary, the traditional and the trendy and we're not just talking about the festivals; we're also talking about the people and places behind the festivals. We want to tell their stories so you can find out if it may be a festival or a place for you to consider in the future.

We'll be supported by a some great sponsors in Expedia, Eurail, Meininger Hotels and Generator Hostels as well as a great team of destination sponsors. For a full list of the festivals we're going to head here and if you recognise any of them - share some tips! And if you want to read the romantic reason behind the project's name, read this.

Must Love Festivals will take me to Germany for a music festival on the docks of Hamburg, to Slovenia to see street theatre in Ljubljana and over to the Port of Rotterdam to dance with sailors at the Port Days festival, at least that's what I've been promised. I WANT TO DANCE WITH SAILORS!!

Sailors or no sailors, I can't wait.

I hope you'll follow along too. Check out the blog and follow us on  TwitterFacebook and  Instagram and the  #mustlovefestivals hashtag anywhere and everywhere.
Now here's a playlist of some songs that remind me of great days at festivals in the past. <iframeclass="full-width" src="

Do you have a favourite festival? Or a festival memory that really stands out? As someone who met her boyfriend at a festival I love hearing happy stories from festivals!
