MusicMonday: Rock the Casbah by The Clash

I'm in Morocco! Let's rock the Casbah! I'm collecting photos of blue skies, the Atlas Mountains and pretty buildings for a collage next week but these one will keep you going for now. A few things you may like to know and hopefully a few opportunities for us to meet.

I'm going to be talking at a few upcoming travel blogger conferences. In April I'll be running a very "hands-on" workshop about working online at Traverse in Brighton, UK. It will be a relaxed discussion of what works for me and what works for other people in terms of getting and managing work online for a variety of different professions - this won't just be about blogging or copywriting. I hope to fill the talk with lots of tips and practical resources. Traverse is a new conference designed for bloggers with full-time jobs who want to network and learn about blogging and social media in an informal setting.

Then in May I'll be talking at TBU in Rotterdam in the Netherlands. Though I need to iron out the fine details of what I'll be talking about I'm hoping it will be centred around a number of themes relating to"How to Shine Online" or more specifically how you can make your blog and online presence part of your portfolio to develop your chosen or dream career. TBU is now on its fifth European conference and is a multi day event covering many different aspects of blogging from technical and SEO to photography and writing, pitching to PRs and monetising your blog.
