Travel Stories: The grass is greener...
Today a simple action prompted a simple thought process and this resulted in a simple but important realisation.
As I walked towards the beach from our bungalow here on Koh Yao Noi I looked at the grass under my feet and noticed, not for the first time, that the grass here in Thailand is so different to that at home; home being London, UK. Yet today it meant a little bit more to me.
Not only is the grass different here - thicker, healthier, lusher - it is definitely greener. This applies both metaphorically as well as literally. I feel like our travels in Thailand have given both my boyfriend, NewMan, and I a new, relaxed lease of life.
I count my blessings every day that I'm lucky enough to both experience and notice this.
It does not surprise me that so many people are drawn to Thailand to holiday, to travel, to start a new life. We only have a week left in this beautiful country and though this saddens me, I already know I'll return.
