In photos: Afternoon at the Stedelijk Museum
After we spent the morning in the Rijksmuseum, we decided to walk across Museumplein and into the twentieth and twenty-first centuries and surround ourselves with modern art and contemporary design at the Stedelijk Museum.
My mother said it right when she observed how modern art can both me appreciated and laughed at, and I agree with that with all the best intentions in the world.
Here are some photos from our visit, which began with lunch at the Stedelijk Restaurant and ended with tea and muffins at the Zadelhoff Cafe inside the museum.
