MusicMonday: North Sea Jazz Festival Playlist

I explained in this post how much I liked what I saw of Rotterdam and I said in this post that I hoped to be back there soon and I'm happy to say I will be true to my word.  We are heading there on Wednesday for the North Sea Jazz Festival, a world-leading celebration of music inspired by jazz, soul and blues. It's long been on my radar as a "must experience" music festival and I can't wait to sway to the sweet rhythms, nod to the big beats and shake on down to wandering basslines and jazzy refrains.  I compiled this playlist as an introduction to some of the bands performing in Rotterdam on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and I hope you like how they sound.
Oh and if you're wondering, yes, this does mean we're returning to the Netherlands together for the first time since we left Amsterdam. And yes we are heading to our favourite city afterwards... and no, we may not actually leave this time... Gulp.  Photo by Floris M Oosterveld and used under Creative Comms.
