MusicMonday: Another Day - Jamie Lidell

I'd forgotten how much I love this song. I hope you like it too. This week, those of you who said you'd be happy to be beta readers for my short story collection will get a little something in your inbox from me.

I'm very nearly there with the book. After three, maybe four months of feeling like the editing process was never going to end, I saw some a flash, a blink a little wink of light at the end of the tunnel this weekend. And the formatting that I'd been dreading so much, well, I took a few steps towards starting it yesterday and it didn't hurt my head, at least, not too much. I know there will be obstacles and my list of things to do is still getting longer, not shorter, but I think this book is very nearly ready to be released into the wild and that makes my heart do cartwheels... one one hand... while singing Queen's "Don't Stop Me Now". Because this has been so much fun. Even if nobody likes it, reads it, sees it. I know I'll be overjoyed that it exists. (If you want to read one of the stories that's already been released, get it for your Kindle) (UPDATE - IT EXISTS.)

(If you want to be a beta reader and get a free copy of the book then get in touch.)

Forgive me for that very self-focused update.

In other happy news, we're back in Amsterdam and thanks to some incredible weather, this city has never looked or felt more beautiful. One of my best friends flies in to town tonight. That is also a beautiful thing.
