MusicMonday: Forever by Cold Chisel
Returning to Sydney, the city where NewMan grew up and lived prior to his six years in London was nostalgic, as was to be expected.
One of the ways that it has been a walk down memory lane unexpectedly, has been listening to the radio stations here. One in particular, WSFM "Good Times and Classic Hits" has provided plenty of entertainment as tinny 80s rock ballad after 70s disco half-anthem has played out with the occasional unrecognisable song. To me at least. As I listened, searching for some memory or recollection of the song, NewMan has started singing along full of beans and bass. The conclusion - "Must just be an Aussie anthem, dahl!".
One such tune is this one which we have now added to our road trip playlist such was the amusement it brought to see and hear NewMan chant along banging the steering wheel in time with the drums: "Is this the way it's gonna be forever? Is this the way it's gonna be forever....now!".
So here it is, my first "Aussie anthem, dahl" called Forever Now by Cold Chisel.
Oh and can you spot an underweight Eric Cantona in an apron and Prince William's uglier half brother on drums? Brilliant.Speaking of road trips, here are my favourite Instagrams taken on the road over the last week or so...
