Lost in America

I'm happy and proud to say that this dose of travel inspiration comes from a good friend of mine, who NewMan and I actually stayed with in Melbourne. Vee is one of NewMan's mates from London who made the decision to return home to Australia at roughly the same time that NewMan and I left the UK. While we enjoyed the warm embrace of Southeast Asia, Vee made his return via a long-ass road trip through numerous southern states of America. After seeing his photos and hearing his stories it is going to take a long time or a big US road trip to shake off my desire to hit the road in search of the greasiest of roadside diners with only some soft rock and country radio stations to keep me company. An obviously talented photographer, I begged Vee if I could share some of his road trip photos with you as I found them very inspiring both as a traveller and an aspiring photographer so I hope they take your mind (and your camera) down an empty American highway leading nowhere and everywhere as they did me when I first saw them.
