Twelve little photos from London
It is telling that the majority of these photos from London are of public transport as in many ways that's how I felt much of my time at home was spent. Thanks to having friends spread across the city and a conference in London's "far east", i.e. Docklands, I covered some ground last week in London. But when you don't get the Tube every day and you've never seen the walk-through Circle Line trains before (that are basically like one long yellow bendy bus with no doors seperating carriages), you find the transport possibilities in London endless. And expensive. When I lost my ticket home one day I had to shell out £4.70 for a single 4 stop Tube journey. How is that legal!?!
And look, just like that I'm back to the moaning, grumbling Londoner I used to be. It was so good to be back.
These are some of the photos I took for the Travelettes Instagram account and soon I'll share some photos of when I escaped the city for a while and spent a day with a good friend of mine on the leafy Cambridgeshire/Suffolk border.
Oh and if you are in London be sure to keep your eyes open for copies of London Eyes floating around on the underground as part of Books on the Underground. If you find one - it's a long shot I know - but I'd love to see a pic of it!
