MusicMonday: Featherstone by The Paper Kites
I think today's #MusicMonday flows on quite nicely from last week's and it's a song that I feel is about travel. Listen to the lyrics and see if you agree. Either way I'm pretty sure it's about a journey... and not all journeys are physical or geographical.
The band, The Paper Kites, have two EPs to their name and both are enchanting. Yes, I did mean to use that word. I was particularly pleased to hear they were a band from Melbourne, Australia. I'm not very good at getting involved with new music when it's still new - it normally takes me at least two years to discover and love something "new" - but much of the "new" music that has got under my skin while it was still fairly new - The Temper Trap, Cloud Control - has been Australian. What new music have you been enjoying recently? I'd love to know. Again another week of work, words and writing. In terms of Instagram, this may prove a little dull for you my beloved blog readers but I quite like the "normality" of my Instagrams; they represent the routine we have created here, dotted with more unusual moments (hover over the photos to find out more).
I am enjoying the last few weeks of warmth in Thailand before heading to a bare and blustery London for one whole month. I can't wait to squeeze the people I love, eat food I recognise instantly and drink all manner of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with those who know me best.
P.S. 48145 words and counting through the final push. I may just finish today...
