MusicMonday: Featherstone by The Paper Kites

I think today's #MusicMonday flows on quite nicely from last week's and it's a song that I feel is about travel. Listen to the lyrics and see if you agree. Either way I'm pretty sure it's about a journey... and not all journeys are physical or geographical.

The band, The Paper Kites, have two EPs to their name and both are enchanting. Yes, I did mean to use that word. I was particularly pleased to hear they were a band from Melbourne, Australia. I'm not very good at getting involved with new music when it's still new - it normally takes me at least two years to discover and love something "new" - but much of the "new" music that has got under my skin while it was still fairly new - The Temper Trap, Cloud Control - has been Australian. What new music have you been enjoying recently? I'd love to know. Again another week of work, words and writing. In terms of Instagram, this may prove a little dull for you my beloved blog readers but I quite like the "normality" of my Instagrams; they represent the routine we have created here, dotted with more unusual moments (hover over the photos to find out more).I am enjoying the last few weeks of warmth in Thailand before heading to a bare and blustery London for one whole month. I can't wait to squeeze the people I love, eat food I recognise instantly and drink all manner of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with those who know me best.

P.S. 48145 words and counting through the final push. I may just finish today...
