Travel Inspiration: I'm burning up... at Burning Man

Have you ever heard of Burning Man? Have you ever been? Would you ever want to go?

Will you come with me?

Maybe this video will help answer some of these questions...Burning Man is a festival of self-expression (my words!) where participants are invited to be as creative as they like, however they like. Set in the dry and vast Nevada desert the only rules that exist are those that protect individuals' security and health, otherwise, anything goes. From this video and further reading on Burning Man I feel torn between gagging to go and shaking my head in slightly uncomfortable awe at all those flashing lights and all that neon lycra (not to mention the chaps - did you see the guy wearing them? Smooth).

Either way I LOVED seeing bikes play such a prominent and important role in this video. I know as soon as we leave Amsterdam we will miss our bikes and the bike culture around us, so every day we're making the most of our two wheels and an infrastructure built for them.

I unexpectedly stumbled upon this video when looking through Amsterdamize, a website dedicated to a lifestyle on two wheels in Amsterdam. It's a great website about a great subject so do dip into it if you're remotely interested in either bikes or Holland.
