Travel Inspiration: For the record...

For the record, I'm not New York City's biggest fan.

For the record, I am prepared and hopeful for this to change one day.

For the record, if I could I would play vinyl everyday and line the walls of my house with smelly, old records.

For the record, I was brought up by parents who frame their favourite record covers.

For the record, these photographs of iconic album cover photographs shot in New York, make me want to abandon my current travel plans and become and illegal alien living in NYC in a box room with nothing for company but some old vinyl.

In other words, they inspire me to travel and see the many places that popular music has made iconic.

(From top to bottom: Bob Dylan - Highway 61 Revisited, Bruce Springsteen - Tenth Avenue (actually not the album cover but sleeve image!), Neil Young - After the Gold Rush, Steely Dan - Pretzel Logic, The Who - The Kids Are Alright, Simon & Garfunkel - Wednesday Morning, 3am and my personal favourite West Side Story)
