MusicMonday: Last Dance by Donna Summer

Today's #MusicMonday was tricky to choose and even debated not doing one today following Sunday's earthquake. However, I've noticed that the Bolognesi have snapped back to normal Monday morning activities today and therefore so should I.

The song I've chosen is influenced not only by the earthquake but by the passing of Donna Summer. As a self-confessed disco nut, Donna Summer was one of the disco greats. She held a note, moved in a groove and had fabulous big hair like the best of them and it's sad to hear she's no longer with us.

Anyway, though preferable to listen to this song while sipping a Margherita and covered in sequins, I'm sure it will serve a purpose this Monday morning in the office as you nurse a mug of tea or coffee. In many ways every day is our last dance, our last chance so flipping make the most of it.I will be live blogging again today from Bologna seeing as I didn't get as much done yesterday as I'd planned. The rain is falling here so I will be hop, skipping and jumping from portico to portico so as to avoid getting wet, but I'm determined to show you a few more great spots in Bologna, like these ones snapped on Instagram already. I just wanted to also say a quick hello to new followers and to say thank you for all the kind comments and tweets in relation to Sunday's earthquake. I was touched by how many of my readers and Twitter friends got in touch and in particular I think all the BlogVille bloggers past, present and future were very concerned about the effects on the area.

I also wanted to just mention that I've not sent my newsletter out for the last few weeks for a number of reasons but one is that I'm going to start sending it out just once a month rather than weekly to avoid Birdie-oversharing. It will be sent out on the first Monday of the month and will include a quick hello from me, some news, photos and a cross section of my favourite posts from the month rather than all of them. If you'd like to subscribe click on this link and then enter your email address. Alternatively maybe  give me a like on Facebook or even make friends with me on there. My name for Instagram and Twitter follows is "bushbirdie". Thank you for following along.
