My Thoughts: Don't Think Twice...

Don't think twice

...about buying that book you've always wanted to read.

...about turning your phone off and leaving it in another room.

...about telling someone special how cool you think they are.

...about watching that clip on YouTube that always makes you laugh.

...about writing down all your seemingly craziest goals in life.

...about tackling a few of those crazy goals head on. That's how Shy Feet started.

...about sending postcards to people far away. They will love receiving them and you will love writing them.

...about letting something go when it doesn't make you feel good anymore.

...about wondering what the heck is going on with your life; this thought process may help you figure it out. Or it will at least help you be more comfortable about not figuring it out.

...about drinking more water.

...about filling a bowl with fresh fruit.

....about buying yourself some flowers.

...about digging out an old album that takes you back to a special place or happy time.

....about opening up Google Maps and zooming in on countries you've never been to.

...about looking back on your past achievements - they will fuel your future ones.

...about saying "Thank You". Ever.

...about saying "I'm Sorry", when it needs to be said. Though do try not to say it too much when it doesn't.

...about smiling at a stranger.

...about feeling good about yourself.

...about feeling hopeful.

...about playing a song that makes you dance.

...about singing in the shower. Or while running. Or while riding your bike. I try to do all three every day.

...about sending a message to a friend because you had a dream about them or because you remembered something you did together that made you laugh. One of my girls reached out to me like this last week and it made my day.

...about making cakes at 10pm at night (thank you NewMan for doing just this AND proving to me you can use fractions of ingredients to make just 3 cupcakes - he's a genius, right?)

...about stretching. Stretching is always good.

...about not brushing your hair for a day.

...about sitting still long enough for your nail varnish to dry. (I am never that patient... what is wrong with me?)

...about going for a walk.

...about picking up that piece of rubbish on the street and putting it in a bin.

...about slowing down, even if it feels like everyone else is going twice as fast.

...about writing, even if you feel nobody will ever read your words. It's possible that that's actually the best way to write.

...about doing, living, breathing and sharing whatever makes you smile.

I wrote this post because recently I have been thinking twice too much and I wanted to remind myself that this can be a bad habit. I hope you like it too.
