NaNoWriMo Inspiration (Day 2): The real reason you should do NaNoWriMo

The most important reason you should do NaNoWriMo

When I wrote these 21 reasons to do NaNoWriMo, I missed one very important reason off the list.

You should do NaNoWriMo for you.

Many people refer to writing as a lonely activity, but I prefer to see it as a source of "me-time", something we all need and deserve.

Indeed, time alone is healthy and benefits your mind, body and soul. I've already bored you with the benefits of writing, so if you combine two activities you can profit from, what do you think the outcome is? A lot of good.

Writing is a personal journey and though through NaNoWriMo you will find a community of people in the same boat as you, only you will experience your journey.

So as you type out the words today, and tomorrow, and the day after (and hopefully the 27 more days that will follow) enjoy your "me-time" and know that you are benefiting from it.

This is YOUR challenge. They are YOUR words. This is YOUR time.

Don't wait, just write.

It doesn't matter if it's any good. It doesn't matter if you make it to 50,000 words or not. It doesn't matter what happens in December. It doesn't matter what happens tomorrow.

Don't wait, just write. This is YOUR time.
