MusicMonday: Cubism Dream by Local Natives

There are a few songs by Local Natives that have been floating around on my iPod for a few years now but I didn't take the very obvious next step of downloading their album until just last week. I've not listened to much else since as I've worked, e-mailed and gymed my way through a busy but productive week in Kuala Lumpur. Today's #MusicMonday is one of my favourite songs from the album which was apparently recorded back in 2008 and released in 2010. It's fair to say this album still sounds as fresh as if it was finished a few weeks ago.

This song is for the good friend Cat who I've been staying with. She is such a warm, caring girl who has offered me a lot of support in the last year and a bed to sleep in on no fewer than four occasions. We've loved spending so much time with her and her partner on our travels and I hope that this continues. A small collection of Instagrams. I didn't stray too far this week thanks to a work to do list longer than the Melacca Straits. But in between I've been grabbing swims in my lunch hour, banana leaf curries with new and old friends and we took some time off to go wakeboarding yesterday. It's definitely my new favourite sport. I hope you all had a lovely week. We're on the move again tomorrow, but we're not venturing too far and I just cannot wait to get there and experience all the warmth that awaits us in many different ways... I wonder if you can guess where we're headed?
