MusicMonday: Love's In Need Of Love by Stevie Wonder

This was a week of visitors, vomiting and vicious winds. You won't be surprised to hear that some of those things were better than others. I loved showing our new home to our friends from London and I loved having my brother and his wife to stay for a few days. I am only sorry that the last day of their visit was tainted by a stomach bug which knocked my brother off his feet. I was even sorrier when he left this bug with me after he left.

However, there is nothing like being ill for a short period of time to give you a boost and a bit of new energy and perspective. All weekend I've been working and celebrating not feeling rotten. Never underestimate the value or loveliness of your health!

Today's #MusicMonday is therefore a tune in support of life and love. It's a song from one of my favourite albums and if I was forced to listen to the opening harmonies everyday for the rest of my life, I daresay I'd be a better person. Maybe it's because of my recent post about "Traveller's Guilt" or maybe it's because I've seen some sad things this week (and I don't mean me crouching on the bathroom floor, though that was a sad sight), but sometimes I just wish we all squeezed out a bit more love to one another. I'm going to do my best to make an extra effort this week and beyond...

Enjoy Stevie Wonderful.

And today's Instagrams are more of daily life here in Amsterdam and I have edited the collage so you can click on the little circles to read more about where the photos have come from. I quite like this little feature, what do you think?

If you're interested in getting more Bird for your buck, I am sending out my first monthly newsletter this morning, sign up here if you'd like to join the nest. Or if you'd like to stay in touch but not bombarded like what I'm doing on Facebook.
