MusicMonday: My Favourite Dutch Singers

Today's #MusicMonday is a trio of songs from two of my favourite Dutch musicians and one new Dutchie lady that I've just discovered. They were all singing together at Concert Gebouw (Amsterdam's equivalent of London' Albert Hall) on Saturday night and I bought NewMan some tickets as a leaving present.

Benny Sings is the reason I like all these artists after I discovered him some five or more years ago on last.fm. I fell in love with his sweet voice, jazz infused soulful beats and catchy melodies. It's beyond me why this man isn't more famous.
Wouter Hamel is the Netherlands' answer to Jamie Cullum, except he's much, MUCH better. This guy's voice is like velvet, his smile is like sugar and he has a floppy fringe that most fifteen year old skateboarding boys would envy. He always seems to open his shows with this song (I've seen him twice now so obviously that does an authority me make) and for some reason hearing it on Saturday struck a chord with me. We should all endeavour to always sing our own tunes. Enjoy... And this is Roos Jonker. The first thing I noticed about her when she appeared on stage to sing with Wouter was that she was heavily pregnant. The second thing I noticed was that she looked amazing pregnant; she was wearing a figure hugging dress so tight that I would choose to avoid it even on skinny day. The third thing I noticed was that she can sing exceptionally well and in the most natural manner. And despite what you're thinking, it's impossible not to like her. Especially when she then sat elegantly (still pregnant, FYI) next to a harp and played it immaculately. This was my favourite of her songs...
So farewell Amsterdam. After I've written you an open letter and shown off the apartment we stayed in, it's time to pack our bags and leave for good. These are my very last Instagrams from Amsterdam...I will reveal where our next stop is on the blog very soon but if you'd like to follow me on Instagram, Twitter (I'm bushbirdie  on both) or Facebook, you'll find out first.
