Dreaming in Black & White: Quebec City

My expectations for Quebec City were high. I anticipated history, charm, character all perfected with a French flair and pout of the lips. I enjoyed all of this and more. The more was romance wrapped up in fairytale style buildings, cobbled streets that I fail to associate with North America and gentle, warm people happy to exchange smiles.

It was for these reasons that I knew Quebec City was a place I wanted to capture in black and white. So I did. Looking back on these photos now, Quebec feels like a bit of a dream. I like that.

Disclosure: Bird was a guest of Quebec City thanks to the Canadian Tourist Commission and Quebec City Tourism. The photographers' wrist and neck ache she got taking these shots was all her own doing.
