Amsterdam Travel: The Best Dutch Apple Pie in Amsterdam

I am not recommending this apple pie lightly. And that's not a reference to the extra pounds it's given me, though it could be.

Truth be told I feel like I need to test this out one more time before I 100% stamp my seal of approval that this IS the BEST Dutch apple pie in Amsterdam, but that would just be greedy.

And I'm not alone. Many Dutchies maintain this is the place to go to enjoy Dutch apple pie, which is very different from apple pie in other countries, with its spiced layers and Dutch-grown apples. Depending on who you talk to, the secret of a good apple pie in the Netherlands is either the apples, the pastry or the spices used. I'm clearly not at all qualified to offer a conclusive opinion, other than to say that whatever Winkel is doing, they're doing it right.

You should go and try a slice for yourself...

P.S. They also do great lunch meals too! See evidence below...
