MusicMonday: Whole Wide World by Bahamas

Today's #MusicMonday comes from new-to-me artist Bahamas, a Toronto based musician who has captured a large chunk of my attention in recent weeks and prompted me to download both his albums over the weekend. He's not exactly reinventing the folk guitar, but he does have a talent for creating a catchy tune, matching it with delicately thought-provoking lyrics and then wearing his heart on his sleeve as he sings in his adorable, less than perfect voice.

I struggled to pick a song as both albums are strong but I decided it was best to go with the one that I heard first, plus the video isn't the worst in the world.

I also wanted to share his version of (the travel themed) song Whole Wide World, written by Wreckless Eric one of my Dad's favourite artists.

So a full week has gone by en France and we are still homeless. However, we are not without a plan... or a new destination as we have popped over the border to Barcelona for a few days. I loved my visit here earlier in the year and wanted NewMan to see the city for itself. This was quite an exciting week for Instagrams as the team at travel website Hejorama asked me to hijack their account for a few days and you can see the photos I took here. As always, hover over the circles to learn more...I love how the colours have changed so dramatically from the photos I took in Amsterdam. Yes, the sky is bluer and the shades and tones are brighter and bolder, but it doesn't seem to make the greys and light blues of Amsterdam any less beautiful, just different...
