In photos: Beaches of Koh Racha

There are beaches. And then there are Beaches.Koh Racha is an island in the middle of the ocean and its shores are Beaches; sun-bleached white sands and a sea of turquoise glass boasting the warmest water you could hope to swim in. Surprisingly the island is only 45 minutes away from Phuket by speedboat, but thanks to this, inevitably, the beautiful beach I refer to is covered in a blanket of sunbathing, snorkelling and swimming tourists for most of the day. However, it doesn't detract from the rare beauty of its two main beaches, Siam Bay and Ter Bay. Well not too much. For more information about this special island and a review of the luxurious hotel we stayed in The Racha you can read my review on the wonderful luxury travel site Velvet Escape.

And here's some proof of the amazing snorkelling as recorded by NewMan. It was possibly better than some of the Open Water dives we did on Koh Lanta.
